Filling machine Trefill Maxi™
Trefill Maxi™ is our fastest cross-feed filling machine that starts with six filling nozzles. In this machine, it is possible to use different measuring techniques. The filling product can be measured with pumps that are fed from a balance tank or with flow meters where the product is fed from a pressure tank. Both techniques provide high accuracy and capacity. The machine is available in an ATEX version and can also handle e.g. viscous products.
Pump with balance tank
The filling product is fed into the balance tank and measured out to the filling nozzles via individual pumps. The pumps achieve high filling precision and handle both viscous and free-flowing products. The pumps are gentle on the product and can handle products containing particles. The filling system is designed so that it is self-draining when emptying. The customer’s product determines which type of pump is chosen for each project. Trefill Maxi™ with pump system is prepared with a system for rinsing with product or water.
Flow meters with pressure tank
The filling product is fed into the pressure tank and pushed out through the flow meters to the filling nozzles. The flow meters measure the liquid flow in smooth pipes which does not affect the product and gives an accurate volume and is a reliable measurement method. Flow meters are best suited for easy-flowing products with no or small particles that are homogeneously distributed. The flow meters are easy to maintain with no moving parts or seals. The filling system is designed so that it is self-draining when emptying. The customer’s product determines which kind of flow meter is chosen for each project. Trefill Maxi™ with flow meters can also be combined with a CIP system that enables quick cleaning between product changes.
Automated package management
Quick operator-independent change-over
Our package management is automatically switchable between different packages. The packages travel onto the infeed conveyor. When the correct number of packages has been fed in, the packages are pushed out onto the filling table under the filling nozzle. The filling process starts and meanwhile, empty packages are fed in behind the ones being filled. After the filling process is completed, the new empty packages are pushed into place, and in the same movement, the fully filled packages are pushed to the output conveyor.
Format change-over with great flexibility
Fast format change with high repeatability
When the packaging is changed, the infeed and outfeed as well as the pusher are reset automatically via recipe parameters. The filling nozzles need to be moved to the correct position above the packages being fed into the filling machine. This is done easily with a release knob without any additional tools. As an option, this can be automated. If you use different sizes of filling nozzles, these can also be changed easily without tools.
Product change with a flexible wash system
Clean machine with CIP
(Clean in Place)
The Trepak filling system is washable if you add an automatic cleaning system. The filling nozzles are driven to the wash basin where they are cleaned inside and out. The whole filling system is cleaned at the same time. It is possible to rinse through with just water or you can add a washing-up liquid. Almost all of the filling product can be produced into packages and the last remnants can be drained before washing.
Self-gravitating balance tank
Create the right conditions for accuracy and capacity
A balance tank maintains an even liquid level to give the measuring pumps the same conditions fill after fill. This means that the pump filling maintains high accuracy. To work correctly the product must have a viscosity that allows the product to flow towards the pumps. The balance tank is equipped with a rinsing system to rinse between products. The rinsing system can be connected to a drain, but can also be sent to an IBC via a separate emptying pump.
CIP-able pressure tank
Ideal for foaming products
Trepak’s pressure tank can handle foaming products better as there is a re-aeration valve back into the tank. This re-aeration makes the start go smoother as air in the system is pushed away with the product and returned to the tank. The pressure tank can also handle products with higher viscosity as the pressure moves the product. The pressure tank means that the product is moved with even pressure.
Coarse and fine filling
Provides high acccuracy and avoids splashing
Coarse and fine filling is performed by controlling the pump or additional valves which control the flow for each filling tube/nozzle. The different modes of coarse/fine filling are used to optimize the filling sequence for each unique filling product. This system provides a high filling accuracy and can handle both easy-flowing and viscous filling products.
Filling nozzles
The right tubes for your products
Trepak’s filling tubes/nozzles are available in many different sizes and materials. The most common type is smooth acid-resistant pipes with a high finish. If you are going to fill more aggressive liquids, there are also plastic filling tubes that handle this. We have filling tubes/nozzles for both bottom filling and top filling. The product’s characteristics determine which filling tube/nozzle is the best fit. The position of the filling tubes is monitored and this provides extra security if a package would be incorrect or incorrectly fed into the filling machine. The lower part of the filling nozzle can be replaced so that the filling can be done as optimally as possible.
Capacity
Calculations helping you pick the right model
We have developed calculation models* for productivity numbers. It means that you can rely on your new filling machine to live up to the specifications set at the start of the project.
* The calculation model is based on the viscosity of water to give us a baseline for our quotations. We use the calculated values to be able to guarantee the capacities stated in our quote.
Operator panel
User-friendly for increased efficacy
Trepak’s clear touch panel simplifies tasks for all users, whether it’s daily operations or setting up new recipe parameters for different packages or product types.
Accessibility
Easy and quick access to all machine parts
For ease in any future service and maintenance of the filling machine all parts are easily accessible via the large and open construction. The access doors are all safeguarded for machine safety reasons, but they are large and will not hinder work done inside the machine.
Drip tray
No contaminated packages
Trepak’s filling machines are designed to avoid product residues ending up on the outside of the packages. As an extra guarantee, we have a drip tray in the machine that catches any remains left on the outside of the filling nozzles, e.g. after bottom filling. The drip tray is connected to an outlet that drains the chute so it never needs to be emptied manually.
Weight adjustment with a control scale
Extra feedback to maintain the correct filling volume over time
The filling machine is prepared for feedback from a control scale. If the weight changes due to the product changing, the deviation is automatically adjusted during operation. We collaborate with different scale suppliers, e.g. Teltek.
Accuracy
Correct amount in the package
Trepak guarantees that our machines meet the EU requirements for filling accuracy.
Allowed negative deviation
Of a batch of finished packages, only a small percentage may lie below a certain tolerance limit and none may lie below the double tolerance limit. The tolerances for different package sizes are defined as the allowed negative deviations in the table.
